Kashmir-an introduction:

Kashmir has been a traveler's paradise and one of the oldest holiday resorts on the earth. A holiday in Kashmir is more affordable than in other countries of the world. The dazzling snow-capped Himalayas lovingly cuddle the beloved valley of Kashmir in their lap. The Kashmir valley is undoubtedly the most treasured jewel in India's crown. It’s an inspiration for art, music and poetry and theme of many movies. Kashmir is a honey-mooner's paradise full of romantic settings, a nature lover's wonderland and a shopper's dream come true. Over the years, Kashmir has pampered its tourists, fulfilling their every desire. Tourists flock from all corners of the world, cherishing every moment and every unique experience that Kashmir has to offer.

Kashmir is the darling of Mother Nature on whom she has showered all her affection by presenting her with unsurpassed gifts- best landscape, best climate and best natural resources. Words can never do justice in describing this masterpiece of Earth’s creation.

Kashmir - The Eternal Paradise

Kashmir has been showered with lavish praises in scores of books, pamphlets and brochures. The truth transcends all expectations and none of the phrases actually prepare one for the enchantment of the blessed valley. As Bernier said, “The Terrestrial Paradise of the Indies surpassed in beauty all that his warm imagination had ever anticipated.” While traveling to Srinagar by air or by road, with the first sight of majestic mountains as one crosses Banihal Pass, there is an astonishing change of scenery. The Valley unfolds itself like some impressive green and gold tapestry of meadows and fields, adorned with luminous laces of waterways and canals.

In aspect of natural beauty, Kashmir even outshines the much-adored Switzerland. Its lakes, green meadows, dancing and foaming streams, majestic forests full of fir and pine, snow-capped peaks attract natives and outsiders.

The Mughal Emperor Jehangir was moved to such an ecstasy by the beauty of Kashmir that he exclaimed,

"If there is a Paradise on earth,

It is here, it is here, it is here".
