Baba Payamuddin or Baba Reshi:

Baba Payamuddin was the loving disciple of Baba Zainudin. Reshi sahib on the instruction of his master settled in Ramboh village in the last phase of his life and became an ascetic and died there. The shrine of Baba Payamuddin Reshi (Baba Reshi) is situated on the site of Gulmarg hill in the north west of Ramboh village. It is 43 kms away from Srinagar. Thousands of people of different caste and creed benefit by paying a visit to the shrine.

There is a big fire place made by Baba Sahib himself. It is said that whosever puts mud plaster on it, his wishes are granted. The married couples come from far and wide and pray for an issue. Ornaments made of gold and silver, the amount in cash, goats, sheep and chickens are offered by devotees at the shrine. The devotees make the sacrifices of the animals, get their meat cooked which first they send to the Langar (community kitchen) and then serve to their friends. Some animals are set free and thus the herd of Baba Reshi increases every year. The children who are born after the Mannat or wish of the couples get fulfilled, become Kinder (servant) and devote themselves for the service of the devotees who visit the shrine. They return to their houses after serving the guests of Baba Reshi for some time and some of them devote themselves to the shrine for their whole lifetime. There is a free arrangement of boarding and lodging for the devotees.
