Janbaaz Saheb
His real name was Syed Mohd. Rifani Qadri
Ali. As he never retreated from the path of Jihad, he was given the name
Janbaaz Sahib. In the beginning he stayed in Srinagar but when number of his
visitors increased he left for Baramulla to lead a secluded life. His shrine is
situated 1 km away from Khanpur in Baramulla on the banks of river Jhelum. The
locality of Khanpur was dedicated by the Kashmiri king Budshah in 1420 for
grazing the grass of the horses of Janbaaz Sahib.
